Water Supply of the Charter Estate Primary School

The first large-scale project of Felistas Afrika-Hilfe Kempen is to improve the water supply for the elementary school in Zimbabwe. The old corrugated metal tank was rusted through and could only be filled with a maximum of 1,500 liters of water.

What we feared came true. The entire buildings of the Primary School in Charter have no foundation and numerous cracks can not be remedied so far. In fact, there should not be any lessons in the rooms anymore.

Equipment of a Kindergarten

The work on the fields of the farm is largely carried out by women. Since they have no opportunity to accommodate their children, the little ones sit on the ground or on the back of working mothers.

Orchard

For a long time we had planned to set up a vegetable garden or an orchard at the school. Christa Endres from Kempen has therefore donated a nice amount with the proviso to buy fruit trees for an orchard, which can contribute a part of the care of the children.
